A regular Qigong practice is beneficial for promoting overall well-being by reducing stress, improving mental and physical health, and enhancing physical and emotional balance. Weekly sessions with Kathy offer positive impact on energy levels and psycho-dynamic growth and healing. And . . . because Kathy encourages practice and wants to make it accssible, this class is free for everyone who has completed the Four Golden Wheels Exercise class. One Kathy's students favorite things about Qigong is our playful integration of imagination into the practices. Research suggests that a strong imagination can be beneficial for balancing the nervous system, particularly through techniques like guided imagery. This is because imagination can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and counteracting the stress response. Movement and deep, synchronous breathing also regulate your whole nervous system. Qigong and breathwork are a powerful, evidence-based, effective approach to self-care and stress management.
