As Fall settles in and the nights get longer, we will explore practices that strengthen our immune system. When our internal organs are strong and healthy, we radiate energy and create a field that protects the body. When fascia is flexible, our muscles work better! All of the classes are recorded so students can practice on their own. Research shows that replacing sedentary time with just 10 minutes of light-intensity activity each day was linked to a 24% reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease and 11% reduced risk from all causes. Even better is these practices are soothing and fun! Over the 7 weeks, each class will explore five important Qigong skills: Clearing, Circulation, Integration, Nourishing Qi, and Self Massage. Using Qigong movements, breathwork, and visualizations, we will cultivate skills to support and help restore homeo-dynamism (the tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements of the human body). Suggested prerequisite: Four Golden Wheels class or familiarity with Robert Peng Qigong. All sessions are recorded and participants have access to the recordings for one year.
