Description
We will continue to explore bringing our inner world into sparkling flow with Healing Sounds. Our movement practices to support circulation and aliveness this series come from Five Animals Qigong. It is a classical Chinese movement practice that has deep roots dating to 2300 BCE. The movements mimic the qualities of the tiger, deer, bear, monkey, and crane to cultivate vitality, flexibility, and inner balance. Each animal represents different aspects of physical health and emotional well-being: the tiger builds strength, the deer enhances grace and fluidity, the bear develops grounding and resilience, the monkey improves agility and playfulness, and the crane fosters lightness and tranquility. This practice harmonizes Qi by connecting us to our natural, healthy condition. By embodying animal movements, practitioners engage both the physical and energetic aspects of their being, promoting Awakened Awareness and adaptability. Five Animals Qigong is often used for stress relief, longevity, and holistic well-being, integrating breath, body, heart-mind, and spirit in a dynamic, enlivening, restful way.
