Qigong Explorations is every Tuesday. These are 7-week classes where we explore various themes arising from Qigong philosophy through movement, breathwork, and visualization. No class on March 31 for this series. Qigong Explorations: From Form to Flow invites you into a simple, nourishing arc of practice that works beautifully for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. We’ll begin with Tree or Cloud Meditations to clear the mind and settle the breath, then move through the Eight Brocades to build strength, openness, and steady vitality. The Brocades give us a reliable structure—something you can return to again and again—while still meeting you exactly where you are. We’ll follow with Swaying Practices, where the body shifts from "doing form” to being moved by energy and finding flow, like grasses responding to a breeze. Swaying helps cultivate deep release with spring-like bounce, making your posture more connected, your breath more natural, and your movement more unified. We will look to crane, turtle, and deer for guidance, as well as Guan Yin. We will close with coherent breathing to invite deep renewal. Over time, swaying practices train a quiet kind of responsiveness. We discover new ways to yield without collapsing and to return to Center with less effort and more ease.
